You may be surprised. Some devices use more energy than we might expect; others require less. You can find out using the "Kill A Watt" kwh meter. The meter will give you the instantaneous power usage and the kwh used over any period of time.
You plug the device into the meter and plug the meter into 110 v power (into the wall socket). Reset the kwh reading and then check it later to determine how much energy the device has drawn.
