ABB Mod 300 and Advant
I provide configuration and programming of Mod 300 and Advant systems using CCF (configurable control functions), TCL (Taylor Control Language), and graphic display design and implementation.
I have worked with the Mod 300 system since it was developed at Taylor Instruments (now part of ABB) in the mid 1980's. This work started with the initial development of the Mod 300 and the transition from the earlier Mod 300 platform to the Advant platform.
Since leaving ABB in mid 1994 I have continued to do project work involving the Mod 300 and Advant systems. My project experience since leaving have included:
Development of the functional design, implementation, and startup of a batch stock blending system for a paper mill,
Development of the functional design, implementation, and startup of the utilities section, and functional design of the dye and chemical mixing section, of a textile finishing mill;
Implementation of the software for the controls for a batch process in a pharmaceutical plant, including installation qualification (IQ) documentation;
Development of the function design, implementation, and startup of the solvent recovery process of a pharmaceutical process, including development of automatic distillation column startup and shutdown and automatic cleaning routines;
Implementation of software for the Clean In Place (CIP) system of a pharmaceutical plant, including the installation qualification and operation qualification and functional documentation of the process;
Development of Detailed Design Specifications and Operational Test Plans and written the TCL code for a pharmaceutical plant;
Development of the functional design and implementation of the batch control (using TCL) and interlocks (using CCF) for a pulping system for a paper mill.
I am available for planning consultation, project management, software development and implementation, validation, and checkout of ABB Mod 300 and Advant, as well as other control systems. I am willing to travel extensively.
